New OI Pera represents 70% of production

OI Pera, the new interprofessional organisation for the pear industry has been created.

The OI Pera (Pera Organismo interprofessionale), comprises 30 companies and organizations. The OI Pera represents 70% of the marketed production with its headquarters in Ferrara.

President, OI Gianni Amidei Pera, has a term of 3 years. The Coordinating Committee consists of seven representatives of the production, 7 trade representatives and 7 from processing.

The objective is to improve production and marketing, coordinate activities to increase the competitiveness of the products nationally and internationally.
