The Rungis Market broke the world record of the Biggest Table

For the 50th anniversary of its installation in Rungis, the Market has just broken a world record, that of the biggest table with 401,022 meters!
Sunday, March 17, in the presence of Guinness World Records judges, the record of 401,022 meters long for the largest table was approved.
The table crossed two pavilions of the Fruits & Vegetables sector and nearly 2,000 people participated in this festive meal.
Established since March 3, 1969 a few kilometers south of Paris, Rungis is the largest fresh food market in the world. It has nearly 1,200 businesses and manages 2.9 million tonnes of food products each year, with sales in 2018 of around € 9.4 billion.
