A large banana export project for Barheïn which is a big agricultural investor to the Philippines.
Investors of Bahrain and Philippines companies elaborated a banana export project.
The AMA Group Holdings Corp. and Bahrain-based Nader & Ebrahim S/O Hassan set up a project of culture and banana export.
The joint venture project is expected to address the demand for Cavendish bananas in Bahrain and in other Gulf countries.
The government has identified 10 000 hectares in Davao del Norte, about 300 million dollars were invested. The construction of the installations is finalized. The activity can start quickly.
For some years, Bahrain invested a lot to the Philippines, in particular in crop technology and vegetable and fruit preservation, biotechnology, and in organic agriculture.
