Expected increase by +16% for citrus production

For the 2013/14 season, return to normal levels for citrus production.
Fresfel and SHAFFE published their estimates for citrus production 2013/14 in the Northern hemisphere. For Italy, the production is expected to increase by +16% compared to the last season, with a total volume of 3.67 million tons.
For oranges, the expected production is 2.3 million tons, including 600,000 tons of blood oranges. An increase of +18% compared to the last season. Production is estimated regularly in terms of quantity, but the sizes are rather small.
For lemons: 655,000 tons planned. Excellent season for both the quantity (+10% compared to last year) and the quality (good size, especially for the variety "Primofiore"). For berries, good season for tangerines with increasing production byy +10% and even better for clementines with +20%.
