The 2023 mango season in Mexico is highlighted by large volumes and a high level of internationalization, says EMEX (Association of Mango Exporters of Mexico).
The harvest projection for the 2023 season is 295,768,528 kilos, while the previous season amounted to 295,071,524 million kilos.
Sinaloa would be the largest producing state with 61,718,658 kilos, followed by Michoacán, with 59,476,818, Oaxaca, 59,236,442, Nayarit, with 55,224,993, and Chiapas, with 27,637,582 kilos.
Ataúlfo would be the main variety, with a production of 94,055,742 million kilos and some 201,730,786 million kilos referred to the rest of the varieties.
The United States would be the main destination for said Mexican fruit this year.
