The STANOR plans a major investment to increase its capacity for storage and packaging.
STANOR, the largest cooperative in France for fruit storage and packing has announced a huge investment plan. STANOR will invest €5.5 million in its site in Moissac (82) this year. The project involves the construction of a cold platform storage of 1,000 m2 which will increase the storage capacity by 6,000 tons, bringing it to 28,000 tons. The establishment of a packaging line will also increase automatic packaging capacity
.
STANOR (which means Station for Standardization) has existed since 1960 and it specialises in apples (90%) and kiwi (10%). It groups 24 member producers, cultivating 1,000 hectares, in a cooperative system. The production volume is expected to reach 58,000 tons this year. Marketing is provided by Blue Whale.
