The new lines, "sea motorways", allow a fast link between Italy and Spain.
Grimaldi Group has added new routes between Italy and Spain.
The shipping line Savona-Barcelona started early July. With three weekly departures from the two ports, it is a new link between Milan-Turin area of northern Italy and Barcelona, Catalonia, northern Spain. Two "
Eurocargo" ships are being used, capable of loading more than 300 trucks and trailers. Transit time is 17 hours between Savona and Barcelona.
Grimaldi also offers three departures per week on the Savona-Valencia and 5 weekly departures on the Livorno-Barcelona.
