Organic farming: sustained growth in the Comunitat Valenciana

The Valenciana region is largely in the lead for the increase of the number of operators in organic farming.
The evolution of organic farming in Comunitat Valenciana continues to show excellent results, dedicated areas have increased by 19% and the number of operators has increased by 14%.
These growth rates position the region as a national leader in the growth of the number of operators and organic farming in 2017, according to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture.
In Comunitat Valenciana, the number of operators in organic farming rose to 3,013 in 2017, up by 14% from the previous year. This result is well above the national rate (+ 5.3%) and other autonomous communities like Catalonia (+ 9.7%), Castilla-La Mancha (+ 7%), Murcia (+ 3.7%) ) or Andalusia (+ 2%)).
