Exports value of Tahiti lime rises 89%, while of passion fruit 44%

From January to May 2022, Colombian agricultural exports totaled $5.055 million and grew 33.6% compared to the same period in 2021, according to the Dane export report.
The products with the highest demand (non-traditional) were Tahiti lime, passion fruit, pineapple, mango, Hass avocado, among others.
According to the aforementioned report, the non-traditional group reached sales of $1.877 million in the first five months of 2022, a figure that increased 36.3% when compared to the same term in 2021 ($1.377 million).
The main products that registered an increase in value were: palm oil (95.1%), Tahiti lime (89.1%), and passion fruit (44.1%).
In turn, shipments of traditional products totaled $3.177 million, which means an increase of 32% compared to the same term of 2021 ($2.406 million). In the case of coffee, this product grew 48.4% and flowers 25.3%.
