The launch of the 2022/23 campaign comes later than expected by initial estimates, due to the delay in rains in the eastern part but also throughout the country.
Local media announce that the lychee campaign starts from November 22, following the decision of the governors of the Atsinanana and Analajirofo regions as well as the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Consumption.
The launch of the 2022/23 campaign comes later than expected by initial estimates, due to the delay in rains in the eastern part but also throughout the country. Recent rains were considered sufficient.
In total, exports for this 2022/23 campaign should reach just over 13,000 tonnes, a volume significantly lower than the nearly 18,000 tonnes exported last year.
