The trade mission of Mexican producers of fruits and vegetables in Canada, which has just ended,has been successful.
The Secretariat of Agriculture and Food(SAGARPA) announced that the contractsamounted to$ 4 million and that a dozen of food companies have managed to enter the Canadian market.
Mexican companies have sold 520 tons of fresh avocados, 1040 tons of fresh mangoes, 1000 tons of frozen fruit and 1000 tons of frozen vegetables.
The trade mission met with Mexican importers and distributors in Canada and the group of Metro supermarkets. Mexico should enhanced the presence of its products in Canada, where he is already a major supplier of fruits and vegetables.
