Hypermart plans to open 17 new hypermarkets in eastern Indonesia to consolidate its second position in terms of market share.
Hypermart has benefited from economic growth in Indonesia and is accelerating its expansion.
Indonesian Hypermart chain plans to open at least 17 new stores this year, after opening 12 last year. This expansion was driven by the rapid growth in the east. The chain expects to increase sales by 24% this year

In Indonesia, the leading hypermarket remains Carrefour / CT Corp., which holds 47% market share, Hypermart is second with 35%, followed by Giant / Hero Supermarket with 18%.
