New shipping line between Huelva and Rotterdam

A new weekly service linking Huelva to Rotterdam has been put into service by the shipping company MEL-Shipping.

 The objective is to propose a new combined transport service for producers of Seville, Cordoba, regions of La Mancha, Extremadura and south of Portugal. This new waterway will facilitate the export of fruit and vegetables to northern Europe.

A first shipment with 150,000 kilos of fruit has been realised. The shipping company is optimistic; the market reacted very favorably and forecasts are beyond expectations.

The line will leave on Tuesday from Rotterdam for an arrival on Thursday at the port of Huelva and will leave on Friday. The container ship has a capacity of 538 TEUs, allowing a payload of 263 containers.
