In the past year, TOMRA has taken steps to strengthen its service and after-sales team in Spain. Notably, the company has made investments in qualified personnel, resulting in improved customer response times regardless of their location.
TOMRA Food solutions for cherries excel in executing critical line tasks such as emptying, separation, classification, calibration, packaging, and product traceability. By utilizing TOMRA's modular and scalable solutions, companies of any size can improve their production, ensure careful handling, achieve precise calibration, and enhance processing speed.
When arrived at processing plant
When cherries arrive at the processing plant, TOMRA Food's solutions initiate with loading systems at the start of the line. Subsequently, the revolutionary Cascade Singulator gently separates the cherry pedicles using an efficient handling method.
In contrast to traditional pedicle cutters that propel cherries at high speeds towards blades, risking fruit damage, the Cascade Singulator slows down cherries through a water transport system. This approach improves the separation point's accuracy at the precise union of cherries, aligning the cluster's center for a clean and consistent separation without compromising fruit integrity. Consequently, maintenance costs are reduced, and the typical machine cleaning and adjustment times required by other systems are minimized.
TOMRA's unique Dynamic Lane Balancer technology
TOMRA offers the Small Fruit Sorter (SFS) grader and grader with InVision2 and TotalView Plus, providing the ability to segregate cherries based on specific market targets and categories, thanks to a wide variety of criteria. Cherries are classified according to standardized market regulations, considering size, color, condition defects, firmness, cosmetic defects, and color uniformity.
For the current season, TOMRA has redesigned the user/operator interface, ensuring user-friendliness for incorporating changes and facilitating anticipatory decision-making. By meeting the specific requirements of clients, TOMRA enhances profitability and maximizes the utilization of each cherry.
