When arrived at processing plant

When cherries arrive at the processing plant, TOMRA Food's solutions initiate with loading systems at the start of the line. Subsequently, the revolutionary Cascade Singulator gently separates the cherry pedicles using an efficient handling method.

In contrast to traditional pedicle cutters that propel cherries at high speeds towards blades, risking fruit damage, the Cascade Singulator slows down cherries through a water transport system. This approach improves the separation point's accuracy at the precise union of cherries, aligning the cluster's center for a clean and consistent separation without compromising fruit integrity. Consequently, maintenance costs are reduced, and the typical machine cleaning and adjustment times required by other systems are minimized.

TOMRA's unique Dynamic Lane Balancer technology

optimizes lane filling capacity, enabling an impressive 10-15% increase in capacity per lane (based on fruit volume) compared to other systems, and sometimes even more. For instance, TOMRA cherry lines in Chile operate at an average capacity of 670 kg/h per lane, exceeding the industry standard of 400 kg/h per lane.
