Markthal, the future market will be open in Rotterdam

A huge covered market will be open in Rotterdam, its concept is to offer everything under one roof.

Its architecture is innovative in the form of a horseshoe. It will offer more than 100 locations for all food businesses (fruits/vegetables, meat, fish) and for others (flowers, plants ...). In the basement it is prodicted a large supermarket (Albert Heijn) and 1,200 parking spaces. At the 1st floor other food stores, restaurants, a cooking school, and in the sides of the roof 10 floors with over 200 apartments.

The Markthal will be open 7 days out of 7 and according to its promoters will attract between 4.5 million and 7 million visitors a year. 65% of its surface is already leased, it will open its doors in October 2014.
