Strawberry exports rose by 17% in the first quarter of 2022

In the first 3 months of 2022, Peruvian strawberry exports totaled 7,125,868 kilos, which means an increase of +17% compared to the 6,086,263 kilos shipped in the same period of 2021, according to Agrodata Peru.

The value of said shipments in the first quarter of 2022 was $13,717,892, which shows an increase of + 13.6% compared to the $12,076,578 reached in the same months of the previous year.

The main destinations were the United States, with placements for $7,441,239 (54% of the total) and Canada with $3,823,381 (28%). Other important markets: Japan with $1,262,829 (9%), Republic of Korea with $682,000 (5%); other countries that together accumulated $508.443 (4%).
