Chile launches Fresh Atacama label

Institutions, producers and exporters in Chile have launched the Fresh Atacama quality label to differentiate the production of the Atacama region in foreign markets.
The dry climate of the valleys of Copiapo and Huasco gives grapes an intense flavour that is now guaranteed by the Fresh Atacama label, which will show the quality commitments made ??by producers in the region. Controls and norms will be strict and ensure consistent quality throughout the season.
Initially this label is for the U.S. market and table grapes. The label will then be launched in other markets like Europe and Asia and extended to the marketing of other fruits grown in the region.
