A certified product in Canada or the EU may be exported or imported without requiring additional certification.
Canada and the European Union have made an agreement concerning organic products. After thorough analysis of the Canadian and European systems of production and certification, the authorities found that the rules of the two countries are equivalent.
This agreement will allow companies from Canada and the European Union to import and export certified organic products without requiring additional certification. Certified organic products can now carry the logo BIO Canada and the European logo, or both.
