New head office and packing house for French cooperative Oceane

The French cooperative Oceane, specialised in production and sale of fresh vegetables from the "Nantes" area (west of france): tomatoes, cucumbers, leeks, corn salads, prouts, radishes moves in today in its new packing house in Chevroliere (12 km south of Nantes).
The new building is 7,000 m² with positive energy thanks to its 3,600m² photovoltaic pannels. This equipment should provide a production of 620,000 Kwh/year.
The new packinghouse will enable a better shipment organisation in order to offer a better service to French and European customers.
This photovoltaic equipment shows a development of green-conscious development with already existing wood-boiler in operation in the vegetable production units equipped with heated greenhouses.
Oceane is a French cooperative operating in Nantes area with 55 production units. Allbelong to a Producers Organisation named: Société Coopérative Agricole Océane.
In 2008, Oceane produced:
tomatoes: 32,000 tons
Cucumbers: 9,000 tons (40% of local area volumes)
Corn salads: 7,000 tons (20% of local area volumes)
Leeks: 3,500 tons (included 3,000 tons in primeurs)
Radishes: 1,750 tons (20% of local area volumes)
