United Natural Foods announces sales increase

United Natural Foods has announced record sales of US$575.6 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2006 which ended on 29th October. This represents a 21 percent increase on the previous year. The company said that strong sales growth in all channels of the wholesale segment contributed to the record sales.
