Grapes and kiwis in Russian market in the first decade of May 2007

Thomson variety comes back again with price 3,05 $/kg. Red Globe stays the same and was available in many stocks. Next week the volume of grapes entering Russian market from Chilean side is comparative with the volume of apples - 3350 tons against 3670 !
It will be interesting to watch whether Russian market is able to absorb this.
Chilean kiwis remained on the same level and were practically sold out before the new supplies. Once they were sold out, price in the end of the week went to 2,38 $/kg but there were no kiwis available.
The absence of pressure from oversea deliveries extends the market for Italian fruit - from 1,85 $/kg up.
