UK parents to receive free fruit and vegetables

The UK government has announced plans to make fruit and vegetables available to the parents of young children.
The UK Department of Health is aiming to improve the health of poorer families by encouraging them to eat more nutritious food.
Under a new scheme announced by Health Secretary John Reid, parents on low income will receive vouchers which can be used to buy fruit and vegetable for children.
