Dutch supplier Nature’s Pride continues to expand premises
Nature's Pride, Dutch supplier of 230 unique fruit and vegetables from 59 countries, expands existing business premises to facilitate further growth. The start of 21,000-m2 sustainable and automated new build project scheduled for September 2020.
The rising demand for company' ripened produce is driving rapid growth. The expansion will result in more space for ripening chambers and the logistics process. The warehouse will be automated, and packaging robots will be installed on the sorting lines.

Nature's Pride already has a BREEAM-Excellent certificate for sustainability. The sustainability ambition is BREEAM-NL Outstanding for the expansion. For example, the new packing areas, cooling and ripening chambers will heat and cool sustainably. The residual heat generated by the cooling system will use for low-temperature heating, regulated by a climate ceiling system. Solar panels will provide a significant proportion of the energy demand. Rainwater will be collected, distributed and reused. A roof covered with vegetation will convert CO2 to oxygen and filter fine particles from the air.

The new premises expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2021.
