The 2nd edition of Tropical Fruits Congress

Tropical Fruit Congress, the international tropical fruit event, will be held in Macfrut from May 8 to 10, 2019. For 3 days, market and consumer trends, sales strategies and trade outlooks will be examined as well as scientific and technological developments of these increasingly popular products on world markets.

 

 

 

This year, the event is across three days. On the 1st day (Wednesday 8 May at 3 pm), market data for the entire tropical fruit sector will be presented, with a particular focus on lime, papaya and passion fruit.

 

 

 

The second day (Thursday, May 9 from 10 am), will be devoted entirely to pineapple, with speakers addressing specific themes and aspects concerning this fruit, from field production to distribution.

 

 

 

On the 3rd day (Friday, May 10th from 10:30), a technical workshop on the handling and maturation of tropical fruits, especially mangoes and avocados, will be organized jointly with Professor Carlos Crisosto of the University of California for importers and distributors. The aim is to provide information in order to offer consumers perfectly ripe fruits.
