Increase of nearly 30% for the Saint Charles International Market

Good beginning of year for the Saint Charles International market which has recorded a growth of its business volume by almost 30%.
Figures for January 2011 are in increase of 28.97% compared to figures of January 2010. The first European platform of fruit and vegetables recorded a volume of 145,176 tons for the month of January, according to figures provided by the Economic Observatory of the Pyrenees-Orientales.
This increase in volume of activity demonstrates the enduring vitality of the St. Charles market 40 years after its opening date in winter 1971.
The Economic Center St. Charles (CFSP), or "Grand St. Charles" now includes 560 companies, 9000 jobs and represents nearly 4 billion Euros of annual turnover.
