Record year for banana production

Banana Growers Council, the Council of banana producers announced that the sector had surpassed more than 28 million boxes of fruits produced (13kgs), 11 months of production.

For the whole year, the figure will exceed 29 million boxes, record figure for the sector.

The Council explains that these good figures reflect market demand that remained strong but also good yields of Australian production. So the future looks positive for the sector that gets the reward of its efforts for quality.
