According to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture the walnut surfaces in 2017 totalled 13 565 hectares in the country.

The 10th edition of FRUIT attraction which will be held from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 October in Madrid, will host the day WALNUT ATTRACTION that will take the point on the walnut sector, in Spain and Europe.

WALNUT ATTRACTION will take place on the opening day of the show on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 10:15 to 12:45 in Hall 10.

Organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, as well as by various associations of the sector (Asociación de Productores de Nueces Españolas, Asociación de Empresas Productoras y Exportadoras de Frutas y Hortalizas de Andalucía, Asociafruit), WALNUT ATTRACTION will analyse the main characteristics of walnut production, a crop that has grown sharply in recent years in Spain.

The Conference will feature 2 main presentations, one on "the walnut sector in Spain and Europe" and another on "sustainable and responsible quality" as well as a symposium.

The FRUIT ATTRACTION show that celebrates this year its 10th edition presents excellent prospects of participation, with a rate of + 16% for the number of exhibitors and for the area (45 000 m2). The 2018 show awaits 70 000 professional visitors from 120 countries.
