The famous bergamots of the Italian region of Calabria arrive on supermarket shelves .

The Brand ORTO ITALIANO markets for the 1st time the Calabrian bergamot in supermarkets . Fruits untreated post- harvest, guaranteed origin ( " Bergamotto di Reggio Calabria DOP " ) , sachets of 3 or 4 units, fully recyclable plastic packaging.

The production is ensured by UNIONBERG OP consortium of 410 growers in the appellation area. This year the appellation expects about 150,000 quinteaux , the key is intended for the perfume industry and a small part in the food sector.
