The Poles begin to appreciate the asparagus

Success for asparagus on the Polish market.
During an interview with the newspaper Puls Bizn, the President of the Association of asparagus producers, Marian Jakobsze, says that Polish production reached 5000 tons. The vast majority of this volume remains in the country because the Polish consumers begin to appreciate the asparagus.
According to him, this change of attitude is due to the multiplication of trips. The Poles have tasted other cuisines, flavors and have sought these products while returning home. Asparagus is also more present: in menus of restaurants, on television and in cooking recipes.
Though asparagus is still relatively expensive compared to other vegetables, the poles agree to pay this supplement because their living standards progress with the ongoing economic transformation.
