The transition period between Northern Hemisphere green fruit suppliers and the Southern Hemisphere ones is especially difficult this season. Availabilities have remained below the average.
Peru/ Kenya deliveries have reached their full pace, but the Israeli ones have been punctually very short (rainfalls).
Demand from multiple has improved slightly (end of the holidays, beginning of the month), but has not been in line especially for small fruits (Kenyan pressure for grade 20/22) and for the big ones (Peru pressure for grade 14/16, low demand).
Prices have decreased further to reach a level around 15% below the average. The situation has been similar for Hass. Supply has also remained below the average (normal volumes from Spain but moderate deliveries from Mexico and Israeli gap).
However, demand has also not been in line. Prices have decreased further, especially since part of the offer has to be sold quickly (high oil content). Stocks have built up for Hass and Green.
