QA Supplies launches pre-orders for Felix's revolutionary device measuring the quality of avocados

Norfolk based QA Supplies has announced that new Avocado Quality Meter, the F-751, by Felix Instruments is now available for pre-order on their website. An expected release date is December 5, 2018.

The company supplies gas analyzers and produce quality meters for postharvest communities worldwide. “The launch of this avocado meter is critical for growers, packing houses, and retailers that desire an affordable instrument that can be used anywhere,” says Steve Page, General Manager at QA Supplies. “This instrument will provide ripeness data and non-destructive accurate maturity readings from anywhere the avocado is.”

Based on the original F-750 Produce Quality Meter, the F-751 is made strictly for avocados and utilizes dry-matter readings to gauge the fruit’s maturity. With the push of a button, this instrument can accurately predict dry-matter straight out of the box. Data is then transferred seamlessly to a PC via Wi-Fi for easy analysis and sharing.

The Avocado Quality Meter also comes with the ability to use Fruit Maps, a free interactive harvest map application co-created by Felix Instruments and Central Queensland University. Inventors state that Fruit Maps make it possible to monitor orchards in real time from anywhere in the world.
