Groupe Kantari commercial director Mohammed Ramdani confirms the commercial success of the first 100% seedless Nadorcot mandarins in 2024 in its first year of production. 120ha of orchards under net have been planted in Berkane, to avoid any cross-pollination with any other variety and ensure the fruit will be totally seedless. Kantari is the first producer and exporter of citrus in Berkane, Northern Morocco. It markets about 30,000 tons, manages 2800 ha of orchards, of which 1500ha of own plantations. The group is also developing a vegetables activity from Agadir since a few year. 50ha tomato and watermelons are grown under greenhouse, inducing 5 to 6,000 tons of exported products, under the brand “Avryl”. “We are progressing our export volumes every year with our 3 product categories” confirms Mohammed. Strong investments on sustainability like renewable energy are made every year and contribute to the success of the group. All its warehouses are today equipped with solar panels.
