Prince de Bretagne endives are already available, and supply will continue to increase.
The new endive season for Prince de Bretagne has just begun.
This week 25 to 30 tons per day has already be reached and this will increase next week to a level greater than 40 tons. By the end of October, hight season levels will be achieved.
Since
the 1950s, endives are grown on a small area in the Finistère, named Kerlouan, by passionate producers. In early Autumn the producers place the endives in dark rooms and throughout winter, they can supply the famous Prince de Bretagne endives.
