Poor quality of cherries
Poland
Tuesday 30 June 2009
There are very small quantities of good quality cherries on the market.
Generally fruits are of poor quality, they are easily cracking and they withstand chilling and transport badly.
Demand for cherries is big, also from foreign recipients. But it is difficult to find cherries which would be suitable for export.
On Thursday, June 25 on wholesale markets, prices of cherries of good quality were about 5 PLN (1.10 euro)/kg.
