Airfreight is doing a little better
FJ
Modest but encouraging improvement, according to IATA, the International Air Transport Association.
IATA announced that air cargo has progressed, compared to the last year, by 1.2% in July, continuing in such way the trend of improvement recorded in June (+0.9%). The capacity increased by 3.4% compared to July 2012 and transported volumes reached their highest level since mid-2011.
According to IATA, the recorded growth in Europe and the Middle East were offset by the weakness observed in Asia. But it is premature to suggest that this is the end of the doldrums of the last 18 months.
