Tropical Storm Arlene hit Eastern of Mexico

Arlene, first tropical storm of the season, has affected Eastern Mexico and did considerable damage.

The violent tropical storm, classified as a hurricane, hit the state of Veracruz which all ports wereclosed because of waves reaching over 6 meters high. High winds and torrential rain have hit the states of Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Puebla causing landslides, mudslides, floods.

The first results show a hundred missing persons, hundreds of thousands of homeless and damages estimated at more than $ 4 billion.

Northern of Mexico, as the state of Texas in the United States are experiencing exceptional drought, the largest in 50 years. Tropical storm brings in its wake disturbances that could relieve these regions.
