Fire outbreak on November 9th and 10th caused significant losses in tropical farming in the region of Granada, Spain. The most affected crops are the medlars' in the areas of Jete and Itrabo : it will take time to recover from this situation as damaged trees have to be cut and new ones have to be planted instead. Last year, the Rio Verde zone (Granada), exported about 2,5 million kilos of medlars to the European Union. This crop extends on 1 277 hectares.
