Last Sunday Myanmar was affected by this category 5 cyclone, with winds reaching 209 km/h and which caused landslides and floods in several areas of the country. It is still too early to establish a precise assessment of the damage, but the agricultural sector has suffered a lot of damage.
In Myanmar the production of onions is estimated at 1 million tons per year.
