Fyffes completes Fruchtimport acquisition

Fyffes plc., Europe's leading fresh produce importer and distributor, confirms the acquisition of 80 % of Internationale Fruchtimport Gesellschaft Weichert & Co. KG in Hamburg, Germany. Previously announced on 1 October 2002, the deal has now been completed. It is to be noted also that Fyffes recently completed the acquisition of Hortim International in Czech Republic. The group continues its strategic focus on the development of the business, both internally and by acquisition.
