Stabilization of onions prices

In India, the wholesale price of onion is declining.

The wholesale price has fallen by 69% in Delhi and of 80% in Lasalgaon, the largest country market for onion. The onion was sold yesterday at Rs 13 per kg compared to Rs 67 on December 21st, according to the National Horticultural Research Foundation.

Prices have sharply fallen in recent days because of the arrival of new crop markets. It will take another few days before affecting consumers.
