The United States and Mexico remained the main destinations for Peruvian mandarins.

Peru’s mandarin export value reached $40.26 million in September 2026, up 43% from $28.08 million in the same month last year, according to Agrodata. Export volume also increased, from 23 million to 31.17 million kilos, while the average price rose from $1.22 to $1.29 per kilo.

Main export markets

The United States remained the largest buyer of Peruvian mandarins from January to September 2026, with purchases worth $96.80 million, representing 41% of total export value. Mexico followed with $74.35 million (31%), while the Netherlands and the United Kingdom each accounted for around 5%.

Export performance in 2026

September's growth followed an increase in August, when mandarin export value reached $75.39 million, compared with $69.68 million in August 2025.

Despite these increases, cumulative exports remained below last year's levels. From January to September 2026, Peru shipped 185.45 million kilos of mandarins, with a total export value of $238.54 million. Compared with the same period in 2025, export value declined by approximately 2.5%, while volume fell by around 3%.
