The tomato ranks first in Turkish exports

According to statistics published by the Union of Mediterranean exporters, the tomato is in first place for Turkish exports in March.
Therefore the tomato is number one product of Turkey's exports in March, with an export value of $ 50,953,272 for a quantity of 52,565,602 kgs. Peppers and potatoes occupy the 2nd and 3rd place. Russia (which represents 20% of the market for Turkish exports), Syria (21%) and Iraq (19%) are the major importing countries in terms of quantity.
In March, exports of fruits and vegetables - including citrus - would have decreased by 11% in volume and 2% in value.
