The President and the Secretary General Europatat with members of the European Parliament invited the 60th anniversary of the association.

The potato market is one of the most competitive segments in European agriculture. Europe produces about 60 million tons of potatoes a year are grown on an area of ??nearly 2 million hectares. On the
international level, the quality of European products results in a positive trade balance of more than 500 million euros.
Europatat, the European association for the trade of potatoes was created January 12, 1952 in Paris. Its first members were Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Today, 60 years later, the association has members from 18 countries.
