Algeria plans to increase its export volumes, which represent only 1% of its production.
There is a slight increase (9 000 tons) in date exports compared to the previous season.
The export of dates should reach 35,000 tons, up 9,000 tons compared to last season. Export volumes represented less than 1% of the country's production.
Algeria is the 5th
largest producer of dates (behind Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq) but is in 20th position with regard to exports. Algerian professionals are looking to further promote their products abroad and increase their presence at international fairs.
