The upward trend is confirmed for banana exports from Cameroon

After a low point in July, the volume of Cameroonian banana exports recorded increases, the last of which reached + 27.6%.
 
 
 
According to data from Assobacam (Banana Association of Cameroon), Cameroon exported 17,939 tons of bananas during the month of September 2020. That is an increase of + 27.6% compared to the previous month.
 
 
 
Of the 17,939 tonnes of bananas exported, the majority come from PHP (Plantations du Haut Penja), the Cameroonian subsidiary of Compagnie Fruitière based in Marseille (France), with 15,360 tonnes.
 
 
 
After 18 months of inactivity, CDC (Cameroon Development Corporation), a public agro-industrial unit, resumed production in June and its exported volume reached 1312 tonnes.
 
 
 
The 3rd operator in Cameroon is BOH Plantations which exported 1267 tonnes in September.
