Promperú supports Peruvian SMEs in reaching export markets

Peru’s export promotion agency Promperú is helping micro, small and medium-sized companies expand abroad through its Ruta Exportadora programme.
The initiative provides guidance, training and technical support to businesses that want to start exporting or grow their presence in international markets. Companies receive assistance at different stages, from preparing an export plan to connecting with buyers and taking part in trade fairs or business meetings.
Since the programme began, more than 23,000 companies have participated. Through the initiative, about 2,650 Peruvian products have been promoted in 155 international markets, helping build a base of over 1,500 exporting companies.
Participants can also access specialised support programmes covering areas such as export planning, logistics, innovation, cross-border e-commerce and digital transformation, aimed at helping companies compete more effectively in global trade.
