CMA CGM performs better and expects a positive result for the full year 2012.
Despite a difficult start, CMA CGM plans to be in profit in 2012 following the No. 3 worldwide container shipping recording a loss of USD 248 million.
The company stresses that the first quarter of 2012 was difficult for the shipping industry with market overcapacity and rising oil prices.
The entire industry has hit a "low point".
Since April, the performance has improved. Freight rates are increasing, the price of oil is down and cost reduction continues. CMA CGM expects positive results for the full year 2012.
