Sanitary authorities have accepted the requirements needed for shipments from Brazil.
Brazilian apples have been authorised for export to Nigeria after Nigerian sanitary authorities accepted the requirements for their entry, Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock announced.
The approval clears a key regulatory step for Brazilian suppliers seeking to enter the Nigerian market.
Its immediate commercial impact, however, remains unclear: the ministry has not yet disclosed when shipments may begin, expected volumes or the specific phytosanitary conditions exporters will have to meet.
