Peru ships over 4,600 tonnes of fresh limes until May

Peru’s lime exports remained strong between January and May 2025, with the United States standing out as the top buyer. During this period, the country shipped 4,673 tonnes of fresh limes, generating $5 million in revenue, according to Peruvian media. The average export price was $1.25 per kilogram.
The U.S. imported 33% of Peru’s lime shipments, followed by the Netherlands with 19%, and Spain with 15%. The remaining 33% was distributed among other international markets.
The main port of departure was Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos, which handled 94% of shipments. DP World managed the remaining 6%.
