Radical change of strategy for Lidl in France.
Lidl goes out of the hard discount and opts for brands on its shelves. This radical change in strategy has been announced to 3000 managers and executives of the company who met in seminary. It takes effect immediately and should be completed within 3 years.
This change will be accompanied by many changes in the stores. Creation of "bakery" and change in the "fruits and vegetables".
Hard discount is slowing in France. It declined of 0.8%.
